Cryoport Express® shippers

Our Cryoport Express® shippers are more than just shipping containers, they are scientifically engineered logistics tools built to ensure your precious materials are transported safely and securely. Our lightweight shippers feature a combination of advanced packaging, cryogenics and high-vacuum technology. The inner chamber is surrounded by a high-surface, low-density open cell plastic foam that allows for hold times for up to 10 days. Our equipment is designed to minimize the risk of the transit process and any outside influences during your move.

Quality By Design Practices

Cryoport truly stands alone in the industry with our continuous improvement of our products and processes by executing advantageous Quality by Design (QbD) practices in support of our logistics solutions.

Our exclusive Cryoport Express® shippers are not only validated using the traditional approach but they are qualified through a comprehensive Quality by Design model. Our model is based off a Holding Time Variation study that defines characteristics that can impact the performance of a shipper. By using current scientific technology and methodologies, we have developed models to dynamically predict the impact of multiple factors on holding time for Cryoport products. As data is collected and evaluated in real time, Cryoport can modify the impact of external events on anticipated hold time.

Cryoport also diligently qualifies each shipper from our dewar fleet prior to leaving our facility and upon its return. Each individual shipper has its own unit level historical performance record and data collection that defines the quality and functional state. If a shipper does not meet the criteria Cryoport has set forth in their processes, it will be removed from service.
